Mask Policy for Aurora Optometric Group Patients
For the safety of both our patients and staff during the ongoing Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic, Aurora Optometric Group is requiring that all patients wear a mask or face-covering for their appointments and office visits. This policy is reflective of guidelines set in place by the Center for Disease Contol (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). It also follows New York State Executive Order 202.17 that requires masks or face-coverings when in a public space and unable to maintain social distancing.
If you have a medical condition that limits your abilities to wear a mask, we are recommending that you hold off on scheduling your appointment until public restrictions ease. If you feel you have an immediate need to be seen, our Office Manager and your Doctor will evaluate your case on an individual basis. We will continue offering curbside pickup for contact lens orders and glasses that don’t require adjustments.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following this policy. We believe that this is the best course of action to ensure the safety, protection, and peace-of-mind of both our staff and our guests.
