Insurance Changes

Effective Monday May 19th, 2025, Aurora Optometric Group will no longer accept EyeMed Medi-Source Vision Insurance Plans.

We will continue to be in-network for all other EyeMed plans.

You are welcome and encouraged to keep your care at Aurora Optometric Group even with this change. EyeMed allows you to be seen at the clinic of your choosing. EyeMed has out-of-network forms available that you can submit yourself to be reimbursed directly. If you have a medical reason for your visit, such as diabetes, cataracts or glaucoma, this change will not affect how we bill for your eye exam. Medical visits will continue to be submitted to your medical insurance as we have done in the past.* This change will only affect materials (eyeglasses or contact lens purchases) and those in need of routine (non-medical) visits.

* Medical visits may be subject to deductible, copays, or coinsurance

If you have any additional questions regarding your vision coverage and options, please don’t hesitate to ask! We appreciate your understanding with this change.
